NDFB militant killed in encounter

Acting on a tip-off, troops of 12 Mahar Regiment and police launched a joint operation at Rajakhat Gaonbetna, in which was killed Laxman Basumatary on-the-spot.

Security forces recovered two grenades, a pistol, an AK-series rifle, two daggers and some detonators from the slain militant, the sources said.
