A member of the standing committee of the BJP-ruled NDMC along with a few residents of the Rajinder Nagar today protested against the AAP government's decision to open a liquor shop in a "residential area" there.

Rajesh Bhatia, also the Rajinder Nagar councillor, along with some members of the RWA, held a protest for opening the shop in West Extension Area (WEA).

He claimed that this would be the "second" alcohol shop to be opened in Rajinder Nagar area in one month, the North Delhi Muncipal Council said in a statement, quoting Bhatia.
