National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) today imparted training to girls regarding defensive activities needed at the time of disasters like earthquakes.
More than 350 NCC girl cadets learnt about defensive activities at the time of earthquake and other natural calamities at the headquarters of the 9th battalion of NDRF based at Bihta in Patna district.
An NRDF team under Deputy Commandant K K Jha imparted the training to the cadets about preliminary treatment after heart attack, technique in blood circulation and fracture of bone among others in time of natural disasters, a NDRF statement from Commandant Vijay Sinha said here.

Col Jitendra Jain, Battalion Commandant of NCC thanked the NDRF for valuable tips provided to the cadets to face danger during disasters.
The NDRF Commandant said more than 2,500 NCC cadets have been provided training during the year at Patna, Darbhanga and Gaya in different aspects of relief at the time of natural calamities.
The Bihta-based 9th NDRF battalion had played yeomen service during a series of earthquake last year. It held training programmes in several schools in the capital to provide necessary tips to students to minimise loss at the time of disaster like earthquake and accidental fire.
