A Nepalese citizen has been arrested with fake Indian currency worth Rs 25 lakh by the Anti-Terror Squad in Maharajganj district, with police claiming that he had links with the ISI.
Sheikh Javed Iqbal alias Ashfaq Ansari was arrested by Lucknow ATS team in Sunali area on Indo-Nepal border in Maharajganj district yesterday, they said.
Police said that Ansari used to get the fake currency through the network set up by ISI in Nepal and supplied the same to India.

He is the kingpin of the racket supplying fake currency in various states of the country, they said.
Police said that Ansari was in regular contact with the ISI agents.
"The arrested accused in being interrogated and he has provided some vital information," a police spokesman said.
