Nepali drug peddler arrested

A Nepali drug peddler was arrested with nine kg of charas worth Rs 20 lakhs in the international market at Budhwa Ghat on Indo-Nepal border, police said today.

Acting on a tip-off, the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) nabbed drug peddler Sadhu Ram Pasi, hailing from Rupandehi district of Nepal, yesterday, SSB sources said.

However, another member of the gang managed to escape and a hunt is on to to nab him, Commandant of the 1st battalion of the SSB K S Bankhoti today said.

The SSB officials are investigating the matter and the arrested accused has been booked under the NDPS Act.
