Nepali national held; contraband seized

A Nepali national was arrested by the Shashastra Seema Bal (SSB) with contraband from Dandahead area on the Indo-Nepal border here, a senior official said.

Suraj Rawat (32), a native of Rupandehi district of Nepal, who was on his way to Nepal from India, was arrested last night during routine checking and 75 grams of heroin worth Rs 15 lakh in the international market was recovered from him, SSB Commandant K S Bankhoti said.

He has been handed over to the police and a case registered against him at Sonouli police station, he said.
