Swamy has asked Defence Minister A K Antony to take action against those found guilty in the scandal involving bribery in acquisition of 12 helicopters for use by VVIPs. Swamy, in a letter to Antony, said he may approach the courts if the government did not have any intention of getting to the root of the matter. "If the government has no intention of getting to the root of the matter, then I am entitled to approach the courts by way of Public Interest Litigation to enforce the statutory duties which the government was obliged to uphold," he said in the letter. Swamy requested Antony to respond by February 25.
