CRPF officer Ajay Bharathan has assumed charge as DIG and Principal of CRPF's Central Training College at Thoppampatti on the city outskirts.
A directly appointed Gazetted Officer in CRPF of 1986 batch, Bharathan was DIG at Additional Training Centre, Pallipuram in Kerala before taking up his new assignment.
An alumni of Defence Services Staff College in Wellington in Tamil Nadu, he has been awarded DG's commendation Disc on four occasions and has undergone specialised courses in CRPF as well as Army, a release by Central Training Institute said.
CTC is one of the premier institutes engaged in imparting basic training to Directly Enlisted Gazetted Officers, various pre-promotional/ in-service courses for CRPF personnel, besides Disaster Management Course for Central Para Military forces, State Police organisations, Civil Defence agencies and NGOs.
