New Research Centre in Bharathiar University

University Grants Commission (UGC) has approved establishment of a new research centre in the Department of Physics, Bharathiar University here.

The centre would be set up under the scheme Centres with Potential for Excellence in Particular Areas for the XII plan period, a university release said today.

The department was one of the nine centres approved for Science and Technology and Humanities and Social Sciences at the National Level.
