Press Trust of India New Delhi
Falling for the third straight day, nickel prices shed another Rs 5 per kg at the non-ferrous metals market today, largely on weakening global trend.

However, other base metals held steady in limited deals.

Traders said sentiment in nickel remained bearish after it fell in global markets as the stock neared a record amid signs of a slowing growth in China and the US, the world's biggest metals consumers.

Meanwhile, nickel for delivery in three months fell 1.1 per cent to USD 13,900 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.

In the national capital, nickel plate (4x4) came under selling pressure and fell Rs 5 to Rs 1,041-1,046 per kg.

Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):

Zinc ingot Rs 109-115, nickel plate (4x4) Rs 1,041-1,046, gun metal scrap Rs 227, bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 400 and chadri deshi Rs 285.

Lead ingot Rs 100, lead imported Rs 101, aluminum ingots Rs 154, aluminum sheet cutting Rs 155, aluminum wire scrap Rs 157 and aluminum utensils scrap Rs 154.
