Nickel prices moved up by 0.38 per cent to Rs 736.50 per kg in futures trading today as participants widened their bets driven by pick up in demand in spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in September rose by Rs 2.80 or 0.38 per cent to Rs 736.50 per kg in a business turnover of 137 lots.
The current month contract traded higher by Rs 2.50 or 0.34 per cent to Rs 731.80 per kg in 433 lots.
Analysts said traders enlarged position on the back of pick up in demand from alloy makers in spot market.
