Nickel recovers on good demand

Nickel prices recovered at the non- ferrous metal market here on stockist buying amidst good demand from alloy industries.

While, tin, zinc and select copper eased further due to lower demand from consumer industries.

Globally, London copper slipped to the weakest in a fortnight in early trade at the London Metal Exchange, as jitters lingered over the health of the global economy after US Federal Reserve last week delayed an interest rate rise.

Nickel climbed by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 815 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 805.

Copper sheet cutting inched-up by a Re per kg to Rs 402.
 

However, tin fell by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 1,162 as against Rs 1,165 previously.

Copper cable scrap, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar and zinc softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 417, Rs 384, Rs 445 and Rs 154, respectively.
