Nicolas Pesce to direct 'The Grudge' reboot
"The Eyes of My Mother" director Nicolas Pesce has been tapped to rewrite and direct "The Grudge" reboot.
The new film is based on a script by "Midnight Meat Train" writer Jeff Buhler, reported Deadline.
The project will be produced by Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Taka Ichise.
"The Grudge" starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, was released in 2004 as a remake of the 2002 Japanese film "Ju-on: The Grudge".
Pesce is currently in post-production on his psychological thriller "Piercing", featuring Mia Wasikowska and Christopher Abbott.
