Nine new cases of swine flu in WB

Forty-four swine flu affected people were released from hospitals today after their condition improved, even as nine more persons tested positive for the H1N1 virus, taking the number of affected to 89, a senior health official said.

No new death took place today, Principal Secretary (Health and Family Welfare) Moloy Dey told PTI today.

"Today 44 people have been released from the hospitals after their condition improved. We have no report of any death from anywhere in the state," he said.

Among the nine new cases, one was a resident from Madhya Pradesh, admitted to a city hospital, while one each was from the city and Howrah district, he said.
 

Two were from Hooghly district and four from North 24 Parganas district.
