Nine-year-old sniffer dog dies

A nine-year-old sniffer dog, which was instrumental in solving many theft and narcotic cases, died here Thursday, police said.

A labrador retriever breed, Diana was serving the police team for the last eight years and died due to age related ailments, they said.

It was buried on the premises of the office of the City Police Commissioner with full police honours, police added.
