Nineteen-year-old gang-raped in UP village

A 19-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two men at a village in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki district, about 29km east of Lucknow, the police said today.

The girl was returning home from an agricultural field last evening when Rahul Singh and Ravi Yadav allegedly dragged her to a secluded spot and raped her, an FIR filed by the victim's mother said.

The victim had been sent for medical examination and a search is on for the accused, who are absconding, the police added.
