Nitish expresses sorrow over MP train accident

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today expressed sorrow over the rail accident near Harda in Madhya Pradesh in which 29 people were killed and promised to provide relief to passengers hailing from Bihar in the mishap.

Kumar, former Railway Minister, said in a statement that officials of the state have been directed to provide all possible help to the passengers.

The Chief Minister's Office was regularly acquiring information from the Railway board on the incident in which two express trains passing each other derailed, while crossing a railway bridge struck by flash floods in Harda district of Madhya Pradesh, he said.
 

Kumar said the state police chief has been directed to get in touch with his Madhya Pradesh counterpart to know about the latest on the mishap.

The Chief Minister said after acquiring information, the state government would provide all possible help to the passengers hailing from Bihar.
