NMR service cancelled following landslip on track

The Nilgiris Mountain Rail (NMR) service between Mettupalayam to Coonoor was today suspended, following a landslip near Aderley railway station on the Ghat section.

Railway department sources said the train, scheduled to leave Mettupalayam at 7.30 AM, was cancelled, as large boulders and mud fell on the track.

Restoration works are on, they said.
