Pop star Beyonce addressed deadly shooting in Dallas, in a moving message on her Instagram account.

The Texas native posted a black and white video of the state flag blowing in the wind late Friday night, with the names of the five police officers killed in the attack - Brent Thompson, Patrick Zamarripa, Michael Krol, Michael Smith and Lorne Ahrens, reported People magazine.

The shooting, which took place at an otherwise peaceful Black Lives Matter protest, wounded seven others. It has been called the deadliest incident for US law enforcement since September 11, 2001.

"Rest in peace to the officers whose lives were senselessly taken yesterday in Dallas," the 34-year-old singer captioned her post.

"I am praying for a full recovery of the seven others injured. No violence will create peace."

"Every human life is valuable," she continued.

"We must be the solution. Every human being has the right to gather in peaceful protest without suffering more unnecessary violence.
