Noida Authority's priority is to provide advanced medical care to the residents, it chairman Rama Raman said here today.
Raman appealed to the medical fraternity to provide affordable medical care to residents and also launch free OPDs for poor patients.
In emergency cases, hospitals should at least provide initial aid and stabilise patients without taking into account the financial aspect, the Noida Authority Chairman said.
He was speaking at the inauguration of an advanced coronary care unit at Metro Hospital and Heart Institute here.
Speaking on the occasion, Metro Group of Hospitals chairman Dr Purshotam Lal said, "The prevalence of cardiovascular and coronary artery diseases has gained serious proportions in India during the last few decades. The paradigm shift may be due to rapid demographic changes, urbanisation and life style changes.
