North Bengal inter-district TT championship begins

North Bengal inter-district Table Tennis championship got off to a start here in which 550 players are participating.

Players from seven north Bengal districts are participating in the chamionship, which will end on November 7

Inaugurating the championship yesterday, Mantu Ghosh, noted Table Tennis player and general secretary of North Bengal Table Tennis Association, said championship like this will give an opportunity to hone the skill of local players for grooming them for National-level championships.

Subrata Roy, national coach of the Table Tennis Federation of India, said sporting talent of this region should be nurtured and encouraged.
