Tamil poet and lyricist Vairamuthu today said that the writers and lyricists were bound with certain social responsibilities and they should create some boundary walls themselves.

Replying to a specific question on the controversial song rendered by Tamil actor Simbu for the music of Anirudh, which received a lot of criticism, Vairamuthu said that he has still not not heard the song.

Without hearing, it should not be fair to comment on that, Vairamuthu, told reporters on the sidelines of a private function.

However, the lyricists were bound with some social responsibilities, he said.

Moreover, the songs with ideology were decreasing down of late, he said.
