Notorious fraudster nabbed in J-K

A notorious fraudster was arrested by the Crime Branch of the Jammu and Kashmir Police today, an official said.

The accused, Swaroop Lal Galaria, a resident of Samba was wanted in various fraud cases.

He had cheated a number of innocent people and extorted huge money from them on the pretext of providing them government job, the official said.

Galaria was absconding since long and today a team of the Crime Branch officials, Jammu, apprehended the fraudster from Samba Bazaar, the official said, adding a charge sheet has already been filed against him.
