NPF wins Nagaland bypoll

The lone Member of Lok Sabha from Nagaland, C M Chang of Naga People's Front (NPF) was re-elected to the state assembly winning the by-election in the Noksen Assembly Constituency today.

Chang defeated his Congress rival Lima Onen Chang by 2,863 votes in the by-election which was held on September 4.

The bye-poll was necessitated following resignation of Chang from the assembly in March last.
