OFBJP congratulates Modi on being nominated as PM candidate

The Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP) has congratulated Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on being nominated as the party's prime ministerial candidate for the 2014 general elections.

"The entire diaspora is elated on hearing the announcement in India by BJP president Rajnath Singh," OFBJP said in a statement yesterday.

The controversial Modi was yesterday named as BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.

OFBJP, a US body whose members associate themselves with and support the BJP in India, is organising it annual national convention on September 20-21 in Tampa, Florida and Modi is scheduled to address the gathering through satellite.
