Official arrested for taking bribe in Rajasthan

A Nayab Tehsildar has been arrested for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 6,000 in Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan, an Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) official said.

Vinod Kumar had demanded the bribe from Amandeep Singh for some official work. On receiving a complaint in this regard, a trap was laid and the official was arrested, Deputy SP of ACB Prithvi Singh said.

The accused has been arrested under Prevention of Corruption Act, he said, adding the matter is being investigated.
