One arrested for running illegal abortion centre

A woman has been arrested for allegedly carrying out MTP (Medical Termination of Pregnancy (Abortion) and other abortion-related activities without any proper permit, police said.

A team comprising doctors and a policewoman under CMO raided the woman's house in Meesa area here and found abortion instruments and abortion pills, they said.

A complaint has been registered against the accused as her house is not registered under the MTP Act, police said.
