One held for dacoity in Ghaziabad

A person has been arrested from Kanakpur intersection here for being allegedly involved in a dacoity case and seized a country-made pistol and two live cartridges from him, police said today.

Shahne Aalam, resident of Kumheda village, was arrested last night, they said.

In another incident, Bhojpur police arrested Shokeen, resident of Atrada village in Meerut, last evening from Kilhoda road for allegedly stealing a Bolero car from Murad Nagar area here.

A country-made pistol was seized from him, police said, adding, both the accused have been sent to jail.
