One held with loaded pistol in Delhi Metro

A person was today apprehended from a Delhi Metro station here for allegedly carrying a loaded country-made pistol in his baggage.

The incident took place this afternoon at the Shahdra Metro station when a CISF jawan posted at the X-ray baggage scanner detected the pistol in one of the baggage.

A resident of Ghaziabad's Loni named Arif (20) was carrying the bag and he was apprehended and handed over to local police, a senior Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer said.

Guns and explosives are banned from being taken inside the rapid rail transport system.
