One killed, 18 injured in mishap

A person was killed and 18 others were injured when a vehicle in which they were travelling in was hit by a truck on Budhana-Kadhla road in the district, police said.

The incident occurred when a luggage-laden truck rammed into the Kandhla-bound vehicle yesterday which was carrying the passengers, said a police official.

One person identified as Madanpal (40) died in the mishap, while 18 others were injured. The injured were admitted to the hospital, he said.
