One killed, 50 injured in mishap

The Baripada-bound bus from Jaleswar in adjoining Balasore district was ferrying about 70 passengers when the mishap occurred near Kusumakuti under Morada police station area, about 20 km from here.

The deceased was identified as Ramakrushna Pradhan (55) of Ganjam district, a technical staff working with 'Subarnarekha Irrigation Project'.

The seriously injured persons were shifted to the district headquarters hospital here while the rest were undergoing treatment at the community health centre (CHC) at Kissantandi and public health centre (PHC) at Morada.
