One killed in bus-van collision in Ramanathapuram district

One person was killed and 19 others were injured when a private bus collided with a fish-laden van in Tirupullani, about 60 kms from here today, police said.

The incident occurred this morning when the bus hit the van coming from Cuddalore, at a curve along the highway in Tirupullani, resulting in the death of the van driver, Vinoth (27), they said.

Nineteen persons who sustained injuries have been admitted to Ramanathapuram Government hospital.

A case has been registered and investigation is on, police said.
