Death toll in the hooch tragedy in the Vaishali district rose to four today with the demise of a 55-year-old man who was undergoing treatment at a hospital.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Sadar Hospital A P Verma, Mohan Paswan, a resident of Vasauli village who had fallen ill after consuming spurious liquor on last Wednesday night, died at the hospital today.
He also said that another villager, Srikant Singh, has been referred to the PMCH at Patna where his condition was stated to be critical.

While village chowkidar has been removed in the wake of the incident 11 policemen including SHO of the concerned police station have been send to police line for dereliction of duty.
