One person arrested with 1-kg opium

A person, alleged to be a drug smuggler, was today arrested and one kg opium recovered from him in the district today, police said.

Following a tip off, a team stopped a car and recovered the opium near Jethasar village under Doongargarh police station area in the district, they said.

The accused Chunnilal was being interrogated, they added.
