Over a kg of heroin smuggled from Pakistan and having an estimated street value of Rs 5 crore was seized here, police said today.
Acting on a tip off, police arrested three persons Manjinder Singh, Harpreeet Singh, and Mehar Singh, all residents of Tarn Taran and recovered 400 grams heroin from each of them.
All the accused were allegedly well-connected with smugglers from across the border, police said.
According to the police, the accused used to smuggle drugs from Pakistan and sell them in various towns of Punjab and other parts of country.
