Overcast day in Delhi

Delhiites today woke up to an overcast sky with light rains in certain areas of the city even as the minimum temperature settled at 20 degrees Celsius, nine notches above normal for this time of the year.

"The minimum temperature has settled at 20 degrees Celsius, which is nine notches above normal," a MeT official said.

Humidity was recorded at 87 per cent at 8.30 AM, he said.

The weatherman also predicted cloudy skies for the rest of the day with the possibility of rainfall and thunderstorm in few parts of the city.

This morning 0.4 mm and 0.5 mm rains were recorded at Safdarjung and Lodhi Road observatories. Meanwhile, visibility was recorded as 1200 metre as 5.30 AM, which reduced by 200 metres in the next three hours, the official said.
 

He said the maximum and minimum temperatures for the day are likely to be 28 and 16 degrees Celsius respectively.

Yesterday, maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 29.8 and 15.6 degrees Celsius respectively, while humidity oscillated between 64 and 96 per cent.
