Pa. Ranjith to make directorial debut in Bollywood with period drama

"Kaala" helmer Pa. Ranjith is all set to make his directorial debut in Bollywood with a period film.

Producer duo Shareen Mantri Kedia and Kishor Arora of Namah Pictures, who had produced Majid Majidi's "Beyond The Clouds", will collaborate with Ranjith, a press release said.

The film, based on a true story, will go on floors next year.

"We at Namah Pictures are quite excited to collaborate with Pa.Ranjith for a film. We are looking forward to it," a spokesperson for Namah Pictures said.

Ranjith also has other films like "Kabali", "Madras" and "Attakathi" to his credit.
