Pak court sentences man to death for murder

A court in Sialkot, 60 km from Lahore, yesterday convicted Tahir Mehboob for killing his second wife, sister-in-law and two young sons from his first wife in 2010.

Mehboob killed them as he believed his second wife had a "loose moral character", prosecutors said.

Sialkot District and Sessions Judge Ameer Muhammad Khan awarded him the death sentence and directed him to pay a fine of Rs 200,000.
