Pak national run over by train

A Pakistani national died after he was run over by a train while boarding, police said today.

The incident occured on Sunday when Surjit Singh (37) fell down when he was trying to board the train at Phagwara railway station where he got down to buy something, GRP in-charge Pawittar Singh said.

Singh was a resident of Sakhi Nagar, near Gurdwara Panja Sahib in West Punjab, Pakistan, he said.

After conducting a post-mortem here, the body was sent to Pakistan last evening, he said.
