Two Pakistan Navy ships will arrive at a Sri Lankan port tomorrow on a goodwill visit.

Pakistani warships frequently make port calls in Sri Lanka and the visits are aimed at strengthening defence ties, said a statement issued today by the Pakistani High Commission here.

"Sri Lanka is an important regional country and Pakistan Navy accords great importance to cooperation with the Sri Lankan Navy," the statement said.

One of the vessels, PNS Nasr is a leading unit of the Pakistani Navy fleet's Auxiliary and Mine Warfare Squadron. It provides combat support for sustained operations at sea. The other warship is the PNS Khaiber.
