Palmolein oil prices edged higher by Rs 50 per quintal on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on sustained buying by retailers buying.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said sustained buying by retailers to meet increased demand, strengthened palmolein oil prices.
In the national capital, palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils advanced by Rs 50 each to Rs 6,800 and Rs 6,450 per quintal respectively.

Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,120-1,340.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,500, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,900-1,950, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,200, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,290-1,370, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,375-1,475, Sunflower 6,300, Sesame Mill Delivery 9,900, Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 7,500, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 7,300, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 5,700, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,200, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,800, Palmolein (Kandla) 6,450, Rice Bran (phy) 3,800 and Coconut (per tin) 1,900-1,950.
Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,400, Mahuwa 4,000, Castor 9,450-9,550, Neem 5,300-5,400, Rice Bran 3,150-3,250 and Palm Fatty 3,200-3,300.
Oilcakes: Groundnut Dehusk 800-850, Sesame 950-1,150, Mustard (New) 1,000-1,025, Mustard 1,200-1,210 and Cottonseed 1,075-1,175.
