Two persons were injured Wednesday in a low-intensity explosion after a package blew up at the office of a courier company in Moga, police said.

The injured have been identified as Vikas Sood and Rakesh, they said.

Sood and Rakesh were taken to Ludhiana DMC hospital and Moga civil hospital, respectively.

According to Moga SSP Gurpreet Singh Toor, preliminary investigations revealed that the courier company office received a parcel meant to be delivered at an address in Sangrur.

The parcel mentioned that it contained some clothes in it.

The sender's address was mentioned as Shahkot in Jalandhar district.

The staff handling the courier parcels got suspicious about the package and decided to open it.

The SSP said that efforts were on to nab the person who had given the parcel.

Police have registered a case against the accused, who remains unidentified.
