Congress president Rahul Gandhi has approved the name of Takam Pario, the party MLA from Palin constituency in Kra Daadi district as the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader in Arunachal Pradesh.
AICC general secretary Ashok Gehlot has signed the letter appointing Pario as the CLP leader in Arunachal Pradesh, party sources said.
The Congress has three MLAs in the 60-member state Legislative Assembly.
Pario said "I will serve to the best of my capacity to meet the expectation of the masses with such responsibility entrusted on me by party president.
