Parliament prorogued

President Pranab Mukherjee has prorogued Parliament, which was adjourned sine die on May 8, marking the end of the Budget session.

In a communique issued by the secretariats of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, it was stated that Mukherjee prorogued both Houses on May 10.

The Budget session, that began on February 21, went into recess on March 22 and resumed on April 22.

Both Houses were adjourned sine die on May 8, two days before schedule.
