"Mohammad Sahad who hails from Horedenga village of Burdwan district in West Bengal was arrested and the chicks were rescued from him at Chianik village (about 3 km from here). An FIR under the Wildlife Act has been registered," Forest Range Officer Vinod Biswakarma said here.

Two of his associates managed to flee, he added.
