Parts of UP get light rain, Lucknow remains cloudy

State capital Lucknow witnessed partly cloudy sky on Tuesday and the maximum temperature settled at 35.1 degrees Celsius.

According to the meteorological department, rainfall was recorded in Jhansi (1.8 mm) and traces in Etawah and Agra.

Moradabad was the hottest place in the state where mercury rose to 36.5 degrees Celsius.

Several parts of the state are likely to be lashed by thundershowers on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the Met office said.
