The terrorist attacks on an Indian Air Force (IAF) base in Pathankot and Indian consulate in Afghanistan were carried out to undermine any potential peace initiative between India and Pakistan, a top American Senator said today.
"These acts are likely designed, in part, to undermine any potential peace initiative that could be sparked by Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi's recent visit to Pakistan to meet Prime Minister Sharif," Senator Mark Warner, Co-Chair of the Senate India Caucus, said in a statement.
