Patiala assembly seat declared vacant

Patiala Assembly seat has been declared vacant by the Secretary of Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of Punjab State Assembly said that the seat is confirmed vacant as the incumbent MLA Capt Amrinder Singh has resigned from this assembly seat after winning the Parliamentary election from Amritsar constituency.
Out of total 117 assembly seats in Punjab, two are vacant Patiala and Talwandi Saboo.
Congress MLA Jeetmohinder Singh Sidhu had recently resigned as MLA to join the Akali ranks following which Talwandi Saboo seat fell vacant.
