Patnaik holds roadshow in Cuttack

A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's road show in Bhubaneswar, BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Wednesday undertook a similar exercise in neighbouring Cuttack city.

Patnaik launched his roadshow here at 3 pm riding a bus from Abhinav Bidanasi under Cuttack Barabati assembly segment, where sitting BJD MLA Debashis Samantray is a candidate.

There was however a thin crowd as people stayed indoors duE to the scorching soon. The crowd, however, swelled in the evening and a large number of people collected near Patnaik's bus at Badambadi.

Patnaik, who addressed the gathering from a make-shift stage fitted onto the high-tech bus, urged the people to vote for BJD both in the assembly and parliamentary elections.
