Leading NRI industrialist Lord Swraj Paul today paid rich tributes to legendary singer Manna Dey, saying his death marks end of an era in Indian music.
"Manna Dey has given so much happiness for Indians in India and abroad through his memorable songs. His voice touched the soul directly. His death marks end of an era in Indian music," Lord Paul said in a condolence message.
Manna Dey died in Bangalore yesterday at the age of 94.

He had been ill for the past few months and was in a Bangalore hospital for a respiratory infection.
Manna Dey sung more than 3,500 songs in 16 languages in nearly seven decades.
